WPYX-SJ400 and SJ450 drill water, irrigation and geothermal wells through rock, clay and sand.
Easy casing
The SJ450 rotary head shifts sideways, so casing and drill pipe are lifted in without moving the rig.
Soft ground and slopes
Wide tracks for wet ground, 25° gradeability and high jacks that let the rig load itself onto a trailer.
Separated or integrated
Separated rigs work with your choice of compressor. Integrated rigs carry a two-stage compressor, auto rod changer and remote monitoring.

How deep and how wide can the water well rigs drill?
Both WPYX-SJ400 and SJ450 have an economic depth of 300 m. SJ400 drills Ø110–250 mm, SJ450 up to Ø350 mm with a stronger rotary head and 130 kN pullback.
Which compressor do the water well rigs need?
SJ400 is usually paired with WPCY550-35/34-38/25K, SJ450 with WPCY755-38/35-40/30K or WPCY755-40/30-43/20K. Deep wells with high water inflow need the higher-pressure setting.
Can they drill through sand and clay?
Yes. The rigs drill rock, clay and sand layers. Use casing through loose ground; the SJ450 side-shift head makes casing installation faster.
Separated or integrated rig?
A separated rig uses a separate portable compressor, costs less and suits small quarries, roads and wells. An integrated rig has its own compressor, dust collector and rod changer, so one operator drills faster on large benches.
